Mindful of our respect for one another, our commitment to the integrity of Girls Inc., our pride in personal and professional conduct, and our responsibility to the girls we serve nationwide, it is expected that all Girls Inc. staff will:

- Conduct personal and professional relationships with the understanding that, by choosing to contribute to the fulfillment of the organization’s mission, we each uphold the honor and values of the Girls Inc. community—both internally and externally.
- Recognize that within the organization, each person participates in a shared commitment grounded in fairness, responsiveness, honesty, and the kind of communication and behavior that people of mutual trust and goodwill can expect from one another.
We will accomplish the above as we equip the next generation of girls to become responsible leaders who create positive change in their communities and future workplaces.

At Girls Inc., every staff member is treated with respect and integrity. We embrace and value what makes each individual unique, and we do not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form. PUBLIC INFORMATION/COMMUNICATIONS
Girls Inc. is committed to informing and educating the public about the strengths, experiences, and needs of girls. The Girls Inc. National Council adopts position statements that reflect our values and convictions on issues that impact the well-being of all girls. These positions, along with the Girls Inc. Girls’ Bill of Rightsform the foundation for our programs, communications, and public education efforts.
Girls Inc. will share information that reflects our values, clearly communicates our purpose, and provides accurate, transparent insight into the organization’s programs, activities, finances, operating standards, and practices.
We are committed to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding any privileged or nonpublic information. We respect the privacy rights of all individuals.
PHILANTHROPY AND DONOR RIGHTS
To ensure that donors and prospective donors have full confidence in Girls Inc. to use contributions effectively and as intended, Girls Inc. staff and volunteer leadership will:
- Provide access to the organization’s financial statements upon request and publish annual reports;
- Ensure that all contributions are used for the purposes designated by the donor;
- Provide timely and appropriate acknowledgement and recognition;
- Handle all donations with respect and confidentiality as afforded by law, and, upon request, remove names from any mailing lists Girls Inc. may share;
- Respond promptly and accurately to donor inquiries.
Girls Inc. staff and philanthropic volunteers will engage in fundraising with integrity, honesty, and a deep commitment to earning and maintaining the public’s trust.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Girls Inc. is accountable to its stakeholders—including affiliates, board members, donors, and all who support our mission and stand beside us in service to girls. To uphold this trust, we will:
- Promote responsible stewardship of Girls Inc. resources;
- Refrain from using organizational resources for non–Girls Inc. purposes;
- Observe and comply with all laws and regulations affecting Girls Inc., its staff, officers, and board members;
- Ensure open, transparent reporting and strong fiscal accountability.
We will fully and honestly communicate the state of our organization, recognizing that true strength comes from thoughtful reflection on both our successes and areas for growth, and we will uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
At Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, we are committed to avoiding any conflict of interest—or appearance of one—that could undermine trust in our work.
We will refrain from any activity involving vendors, grantees, or other partners that could compromise objective decision-making, interfere with our responsibilities, or conflict with the best interests of Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas.
All gifts, favors, fees, or honoraria will be disclosed, with the exception of promotional items or items of nominal value.
We will not influence the selection of staff, consultants, or vendors based solely on personal relationships or familial ties (nepotism).
