Be the Light
an MLK Day Camp
JAN 16th, 2021 | 10am -3pm
During the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. challenged all Americans to “be the light” that drives out darkness. At our Be the Light MLK Day Camp, girls will learn to put Dr. King’s words into action through fun activities that will enhance their knowledge of working peacefully with others while advocating for and serving in their communities.

- Increased Safety Protocols
Additionally, the following safety protocols will be in place:
- Reduced capacity
- 1:10 staff to girl ratios
- Girls in same room with same staff for majority of the day
- Individual supplies (no shared supplies)
- Only girls and staff allowed in building
- Daily temperature checks prior to entering
- Masks (provided) required at all times except when eating or drinking
- Girls and staff will maintain social distancing and wash/sanitize hands frequently
- Parent drop off and pick up will occur outdoors
- Additional daily and nightly cleaning
