Girls Inc. Of Metropolitan Dallas Adds Slate Of Officers And New Member For 2023 Fiscal Year
With a goal for Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas to expand its services to 25,000 Dallas County girls by the end of the decade, the organization’s board officers and one new member of the board for the 2023 fiscal year have been announced.
Continuing in the second term of his role as chairman of the board, Arjun Dugal will be joined by Treasurer Jamie Lavin, Corporate Secretary Phil Dayalu, Chair-Elect Zapata Moore and Nominating and Governance Committee Chair Amy Stewart.
Joining the board is Shannon Meyers.
According to Girls Inc. Of Metropolitan Dallas CEO Beth Myers, “We are excited to welcome Shannon to the board. She brings deep expertise in strategic leadership and organizational development. With the addition of Shannon, a strong board of 18 more returning members, and the leadership of our new executive team, I am more confident than ever that we will achieve our ambitious growth goals.”
Serving girls ranging in age from six to 18 from “mostly low-income Dallas County households,” Girls Inc. Of Metropolitan Dallas provides “research-based programming from trained and dedicated staff with the overall objectives of improving girls’ economic mobility, preventing teen pregnancy and changing the face of STEM fields.”
