Each year, Girls Inc. Dallas serves a diverse population of over 1,000 girls, ages 6 to 18.

The girls we serve reflect the diversity of our community: 47% Hispanic, 41% African American, 3% White, 1% Asian, and 8% Other.

The majority of the girls enrolled in our programs come from economically disadvantaged Dallas backgrounds:

  • 82% are identified as low-to-moderate income.
  • 71% live in households with family incomes under $30,000.
  • Many of our girls live in single parent households and lack access to experiences that engage them and maintain their motivation for success
Girls Inc. of Metro Dallas is committed to providing the Girls Inc. experience to all youth who identify as girls regardless of their assigned sex at birth, and those who are exploring their gender identity or expression during their time at Girls. Inc. We are proud to provide girls with a welcoming, inclusive environment where they can feel safe and comfortable expressing themselves freely.
