JJ Cawelti is a communications and marketing executive who is driven by the opportunity to make a difference for her community. She is a positive and forward-thinking leader who can motivate others to work toward a shared vision. JJ spent many years working in large organizations leading international marketing, communications, and public affairs initiatives.

JJ serves as the Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Events for Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, one of the largest affiliates in a network of 80 across North America. In this role, JJ is responsible for amplifying the brand and message of Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas to engage more stakeholders and help the organization achieve its audacious goal to serve 25,000 girls in the Dallas area by 2030.

JJ previously served as the Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement for DFW International Airport where she was responsible for external and board relations for the third busiest airport in the world. Prior to that she was the Senior Manager of Global Public Affairs and Communication for Bell Helicopter. She also held several roles of progressive responsibility leading marketing and communications in the telecommunications and education sectors.

In 2022, JJ was recognized by her alma mater, West Texas A&M University as a Graduate of Distinction. In 2019 she was named one of the top 40 Under 40 in Dallas by the Dallas Business Journal.  She has been recognized as a Texas Woman to Watch and an Outstanding Careerist by Texas Business and Professional Women. She has also led many award-winning teams and initiatives throughout her career.

JJ holds an MBA in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from West Texas A&M University. She is certified in Corporate Citizenship Leadership by Boston College and is a level three mountain biking coach for the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, where she also leads the Texas League. JJ and her husband, Chris have four children.
